The OpportunityAn exciting Finance Manager opportunity based in Stockton, within a growing and reputable organisation operating in the industrial sector. This is a hands-on leadership role offering genuine breadth, exposure to multiple entities and the chance to play a key part in a business at the forefront of its market. You’ll join a collaborative, well-resourced finance function with clear scope for development, influence and progression, alongside flexible hybrid working once established.Your Duties/Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations across multiple statutory entities
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes and balance sheet integrity
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking across operational divisions
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and internal control requirements
  • Liaise with auditors and external advisors
  • Line manage and develop up to three members of the finance team
You Will Be/Have:
  • A qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience producing management accounts in a multi-entity environment
  • Prior line management experience, with a supportive and development-focused approach
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience within utilities, energy, engineering or asset-intensive environments 
  • A proactive, detail-focused mindset with the confidence to drive improvements and challenge constructively
