Schools across Walthamstow, Leyton, Chingford and surrounding areas regularly require Learning Support Assistants who can step in confidently and provide high-quality support. As a daily supply Learning Support Assistant, you will be helping keep classrooms running smoothly and ensuring continuity for pupils who rely on consistent SEN support.

Learning Support Assistant Role Details:

Daily Rate: £82.14-£100

Start: ASAP

Working Pattern: Fully flexible - choose your days

Location: Primary schools across Waltham Forest

Contract: Daily supply / bank staff

Duties of a Learning Support Assistant:

Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 or small-group basis

Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and routines

Helping children with communication, emotional regulation and engagement

Implementing behaviour support strategies under guidance

Adapting quickly to new classes, routines and pupils

Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or SEN support worker

Strong understanding of needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH or speech & language

Reliable, flexible and confident working in different classrooms

Calm, patient and supportive approach

Strong communication and collaboration skills
