Warehouse Trainee Engineer

Salary: £23,800 to £25,000 (Dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Option to reduce to 37.5 hours)
Location: Altrincham (relocating to Middleton within 4-8 weeks)

Role Overview

We're seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Trainee Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, entry-level role ideal for someone who wants to build their skills in warehouse operations, IT hardware handling, and logistics within a supportive, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform hands-on tasks such as testing, picking, packing, and shipping of IT equipment.

* Ensure accurate order fulfilment and timely dispatch of goods.

* Communicate effectively with the Dispatch Lead regarding any order or process issues.

* Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, product quality issues, or shipment errors.

* Monitor outbound inventory levels and escalate low stock to the Dispatch Lead.

* Conduct quality checks on orders to ensure compliance with company standards.

* Follow company testing protocols and raise any concerns with the Dispatch Lead.

* Work efficiently to meet KPIs while maintaining quality standards.

* Report concerns or suggestions to the Dispatch Lead or Directors to foster a positive team environment.

* Adhere strictly to health and safety policies at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or technical environment is desirable but not essential.

* Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced industry.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

* Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks safely.
