Residential Officer (Weekend Role)Rate: £12.21 per hourHours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday and SundayWe are seeking a committed and proactive Residential Officer to support and supervise students in our college residences, ensuring their wellbeing and safety during weekends.Key Responsibilities:

• Support and supervise students in residential accommodation, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
• Oversee social and sporting activities during evenings and weekends to encourage student participation and engagement.
• Monitor the condition of residential, sporting, and social facilities, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns.
• Patrol campus and accommodation buildings, working closely with security personnel to maintain safety.
• Maintain acceptable standards of student behaviour outside of normal timetabled hours, fostering a respectful community.

Person Specification:

• Relevant professional qualification or proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or young people; recognised as a trusted and respected individual.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Confident, empathetic, and calm under pressure when responding to incidents or emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and approachable attitude.
• Committed to actively promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
