1:1 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Birmingham - From £90 Per Day (PAYE)

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a student with additional needs - helping them feel confident, included, and engaged in every lesson.

Your Role Will Include:

Delivering tailored, one-to-one support to ensure the student feels comfortable, motivated, and fully involved in their learning.

Supporting the student's academic, social, and emotional development through structured activities and encouragement.

Building positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence and progress.

Assisting with mobility or physical needs, ensuring full inclusion in all classroom activities.

Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to maintain effective and consistent support strategies.

What We're Looking For:

Essential: Proven experience providing 1:1 support to students with additional needs.

A positive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Experience supporting students with physical disabilities and attachment difficulties.

A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but personal qualities, mindset, and relevant experience are key.
