Account Receivable Clerk

JOB TYPE: Permanent

SALARY: £20000 - £25000/annum

We have an immediate opportunity for entry-level yet experienced finance assistant to control the Accounts Receivable function. Initially this may be a temporary role for the first 12 with the intention to turn permanent. They are a small yet dynamic bunch of professionals with a passion for hitting deadlines and pleasing customers.


* Ownership of the Sales Ledger function to include;

* Processing sales invoices for a variety of international business customers

* Checking discounting is correctly calculated and appropriate approvals are in place

* Customer account reconciliations and dispute resolution

* Distributing customer statements

* Sending reminder letters periodically and escalating overdue accounts in line with company policy

* Working with collections agency to collect bad debts

* Phoning and emailing customers to resolve disputes

* Prepare and analyse sales reports to distribute to the sales organization

* Deputise the purchase ledger function in periods of absence

* Processing staff expense claims and ensuring policy is adhered to

* General ledger journal preparation in relation to sales

* Assisting with month end procedures related to sales

* Other administration duties for all aspects of the business where required


* 1 year of experience in a similar role

* Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication

* Comfortable working to deadlines

* Having a hands-on attitude are a must in this fast-paced environment

* Familiarity with the Microsoft Office package including Word and Excel

* Own transport is needed due to the location
