We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major multi-phase residential development for a leading national house builder. This is a complex, high-profile site requiring a confident, solutions-driven leader capable of managing both ongoing works and previously inherited challenges.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership, residential delivery expertise, and the ability to maintain performance under pressure on a busy and demanding site.

About the Role

Working on a large-scale new-build housing development, you will take responsibility for driving progress across all phases of construction, managing a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring the site continues to operate to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

This role requires a Project Manager who can:

Provide clear, authoritative site leadership

Manage issue resolution and legacy challenges

Keep the programme on track through strong planning and foresight

Maintain a professional presence when liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a busy residential construction site from planning through to completion

Oversee and support a large site team including Site Managers, Finishing Foremen, and Customer Care personnel

Resolve technical, quality, and programme issues quickly and effectively

Develop both short-term and long-term project programmes

Drive high standards of build quality, efficiency, and safety

Ensure effective collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, and client teams

Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions

Handle legacy issues and ensure corrective actions are carried out professionally

Produce clear reports, updates, and management documentation

Experience & Skills Required

Strong background in house building (PLC experience welcome but not essential)

Proven experience as a Project Manager on large residential developments

Excellent leadership and team-management abilities

Confident managing pressure, competing priorities, and high workloads

Skilled in producing and managing project programmes

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Professional, well-presented, and able to represent the developer confidently
