To continue with their mission, they are looking for a dynamic Stress Engineer with 5 years+ experience of FEA and CFD analysis to join the team, taking responsibility for testing and simulation within the business, alongside supporting the Lead Simulation and Test Engineer, and to share the vision, values, and ethos of the company - Innovation, Sustainability and Efficiency.

Main Duties

Providing authorship of validation & verification plans and reports with supporting simulation and test plans & reports that can used to certify the company products.

Responsible for collaboration with the design and development engineers ensuring that products under development meet the requirements and specification.

Responsible for mathematical modelling of mechanical loads, stress, CFD and dynamic simulation.

Responsible for establishing the company's FEA and CFD models and simulation guidelines.

Plan and demonstrate correlation between models and real-life test results to validate and verify modelling and simulation results.

Responsible signatory for approval of the mechanical and magnetic analysis aspects of the product.

Coordinate tests, equipment, and resource in test lab in alignment with the business-related

To plan, perform and/or direct Technicians to build and validate new or modified test equipment as required.

Required experience

Proven 'hands on' experience in dynamic / vibration analysis and their effects on fatigue

Demonstrable evidence and experience of mathematical modelling

Ability to perform quick paper-based estimations to supply fast approximations during design discussions

Experience using Mathematical processing software, e., Matlab for data analysis, processing, and presentation of results.

Ability to understand limitations of measurement equipment.

Relevant Engineering degree.

Ideally chartered.

Experience in the analysis of rotating products at high and low speeds.

Demonstrable evidence and experience of working on manual and automated meshing techniques.

Extensive experience in materials and composite properties, bonding properties, thermal characteristics.

Proven knowledge in durability analysis and failure effects.
