Job Title: Yard Operative

Hours: Monday - Friday / 8am to 5pm - 1 hour lunch

Contract Type: Temporary 3-4 months

Pay: £13.35 per hour

Our Client is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Yard Operative to join their team in Chesham!

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping things organised and values delivering excellent service to customers.

As a Yard Operative you will be responsible for piking and preparing orders, maintain a clean and efficient yard an ensuring all operations are carried out safetly.

Responsibilities:

Order picking & Loading: Accurately pick stock from order notes and load customer vehicles, using a manual handling techniques and forklifts
Forklift Counterbalance license
Customer service: Provide helpful and courteous assistance to customers, ensuring a positive experience
Stock management - receive and unload deliveries, organise inventory In the yard and maintain correct stock rotation
Communication skills
Yard Operative - working outdoors

Maintaining a clean and organised yard
Lifting up to 50kg - shared
Unloading deliveries
Requirements:

Forklift counterbalance license
Good timekeeping
Ability to work efficiently and maintain a tidy workspace
Willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines
Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment
Excellent communication skills
