Job Title: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Barnsley & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 + Door-to-Door Travel | Permanent

Are you an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer looking for a new opportunity with a stable, family-run business that's been operating for over 50 years?

We're recruiting on behalf of a long-established and respected company seeking a skilled engineer to join their growing team. Covering Barnsley and the surrounding region, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values its engineers and offers excellent benefits, long-term stability, and ongoing support.

• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on a wide range of AC and refrigeration systems

• Conduct routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

• Complete all associated service documentation accurately

• Work with both domestic and commercial clients, delivering excellent customer service

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company and site-specific H&S procedures

• Take part in a shared on-call rota to support 24/7 service coverage

• Proven experience in AC and Refrigeration systems

• Qualified with C&G 2079 (F-Gas Certification)

• Confident working on:

  • Display fridges & freezers

  • Cold rooms & chillers

  • Split AC units, VRV and AHU systems

• Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check

• £38,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

• Door-to-door travel paid

• Monday to Friday schedule

• Overtime available + on-call rota

• 23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

• Company van & fuel card provided
