Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ascertaining event details from the client and quote
Coordination of staff, display, and vehicles through departmental assistance
Detailed step-by-step run of show planning and risk mitigation
Participate in weekly company and client calls
Assist with “secret shopping” events (showing up on-site to evaluate staff during event activities)
Develop relationship with client to discuss future event opportunities.
Coach, motivate, and supervise event management staff when necessary.
Act as onsite event manager, product specialist or promotional specialist when necessary.
Serve as the overall lead at events while being responsible for all interactions with clients, event staff, outside vendors and other partners that may be involved
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (working events, secret shops, client meetings, company meetings)
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Software; Email Software (such as Microsoft Outlook), Presentation Software (Microsoft PowerPoint), Spreadsheet Software (Microsoft Excel), and Word-Processing Software (Microsoft Word).
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in event management and planning (automotive event experience is a plus)
