Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed.
May run errands and delivery food orders to offices.
Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments including folding napkins.
To set stock level ready for next shift.
Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning. Scrape and stack plates and rack glassware.
Replaces soiled table linens with fresh supply from housekeeping department.
Serve guests with beverages, breads, and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Management Company from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team Members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Team Members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Upon employment, all Team Members are required to fully comply the American Property Management Company’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Team Members who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel. Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards, in or on any part of the kitchen or restaurant.
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, or special guest requests, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
Ability to so the same task over and over, frequently in the same way.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests. Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 35lbs. through a crowded room.
Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
Working Environment / Physical Activities:
Inside or outside with protection from weather but not necessarily changes in temperature changes.
Physical activities include walking, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, carrying, lifting, reaching, crawling, handling, fingering, feeling.
Requires considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists and fingers as relating to carrying, serving, and lifting objects.
Requires interaction with people to attending to needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people. Immediate response is required.
Requires the use of body members, hand tools, and or special devices to work, move, and carry objects or materials.
Education: Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Grade school education preferred.
Experience: No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
Licenses or certificates: Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates. CPR Certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
Grooming: All Team Members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
This is a Full Service 292 room hotel with meeting space as well as a Dining Room and Lounge. We are located in Pleasanton and provide transportation to and from the Pleasanton/Dublin East Bart Station.
