Recsure Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a respected engineering and automation company based in Newtown, Powys. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team working on bespoke machinery and automated systems used in manufacturing and packaging industries.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in mechanical design who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking business.

Salary - £37,000 to £42,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

* Design of bespoke machinery and automation equipment using SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)

* Creation of detailed 2D engineering drawings and system layouts

* Component specification and selection

* Liaising with project managers, suppliers, and production teams

* Providing support during on-site installations and resolving design queries

* Ensuring all designs meet drawing standards and revision controls

Requirements:

* Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD package

* Previous experience in machinery/equipment design

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience with drawing control and engineering standards

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
