We're proud to be working in exclusive partnership with Royal Greenwich, recently rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted (June 2024), to recruit permanent Social Workers into their Children in Need Safeguarding Team. This is a vital part of the borough's service, where children and families receive consistent support through ongoing safeguarding intervention and direct social work.

About the Role

* As part of the Children in Need Safeguarding Team, your work will involve longer-term, relationship-led interventions following initial assessment. You will:

* Work directly with children and families to build safety and stability

* Deliver Child in Need, Child Protection and Care Planning

* Lead and manage statutory reviews and multi-agency meetings

* Ensure children's views and lived experiences are central to planning

* Make confident decisions based on risk, resilience and partnership input

* Support children who may remain at home or require alternative care arrangements

* Contribute to a team that values reflection, consistency and high-quality social work

We're looking for passionate, skilled practitioners who bring:

* Registration with Social Work England

* A recognised qualification in Social Work

* Experience in statutory safeguarding teams (CIN, CP, CLA or Court)

* Strong understanding of thresholds, risk and intervention planning

* A commitment to working in a strengths-based, relational way

* The ability to manage complex caseloads with a calm, organised approach

* A belief in achieving the best outcomes for every child
