Senior Commercial Account Executive (Insurance)Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)Salary: £45,000 + 30% Uncapped Commission (after £3,000 CI threshold)Sector: Commercial Insurance | Focus on Construction & LeisureWe’re exclusively supporting a fast-growing, entrepreneurial insurance-led business with strong ties to the property investment market. Following a successful period of growth, they’re now looking to bring in a Senior Commercial Account Executive to help develop their corporate book and shape future team expansion.This is a remote-first role, open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, with optional use of a central office in Scotland.About the Business:
- The company operates a digital-first model that blends insurance and property market insights, working with thousands of professionals in the investment and analytics space.
- Their insurance arm has grown from an experienced commercial broker who brought a substantial book of high-value clients with them.
- The book is mixed, but has a strong focus on corporate-level construction and leisure clients, often with premiums exceeding £100,000 GWP.
- The wider team includes a Commercial BD lead covering mid-market clients (£5,000–£50,000 GWP) and plans are in place to scale out a dedicated Business Development pod over the coming months.
The Role:We’re looking for a confident, self-motivated Account Executive who thrives in a hunter-style role and has the resilience and drive to succeed in a fast-paced, commercial environment.You’ll be responsible for:
- Building your own pipeline through cold outreach, lead generation and prospecting (supported by internal tools and contact data)
- Following up on warm leads provided by the internal team and qualifying opportunities
- Managing and developing a book of corporate-level commercial clients, particularly across construction and associated industries
- Working on business typically valued at £10,000–£100,000+ GWP
- Playing a key role in shaping a new team structure, with opportunity for progression into leadership as the BD function grows
What We're Looking For:
- Ideally Minimum 4 years of commercial insurance experience
- Comfortable handling a broad range of cases across various classes
- Strong knowledge of or interest in Commercial Insurance
- Track record in sales or business development within insurance
- Able to work independently
