Global engineering business require a Procurement Manager (Indirect). Applicants need broad indirect procurement experience and expertise across the full procurement lifecycle; supplier selection, sourcing/tendering, supplier relationship and contracts management.

The Procurement Manager - Indirect will be responsible for leading all indirect goods and services procurement activity for the business covering a small number of UK sites. Category spend areas in focus is everything from; IT, corporate/business services, FM, technical services, to PPE, uniforms and stationary/office equipment. Previous experience across all category areas is not required, the role would suit an indirect procurement generalist who is a self-starter and confident in stakeholder interactions.

Specific duties of the Procurement Manager - Indirect, include:

Stakeholder partnering - understand scope, manage relationships, facilitate 360 feedback with suppliers
Develop and implement indirect procurement strategies
Supply market intelligence and supplier selection activities
Manage high-value and complex tenders, right through to award
Post-signature supplier relationship, supplier development and contract negotiation and management of agreements
Support procurement leadership with process improvement or particular cost reduction projects

Procurement Manager - Indirect applicants should meet the following criteria:

Indirect procurement experience, ideally generalist expertise covering a range of spend areas; business services corporate services, IT, FM, consultancies, fleet, travel etc.
Previous experience as an Indirect Procurement Manager, Indirect Sourcing Manager, Indirect Category Manager, Indirect Buyer or in Category Management, etc. would all work well here
The ability to own, influencing and managing stakeholder relationships
Strategic procurement toolkit; the ability to negotiate, develop suppliers and experience working with contracts
A pro-active, confident, self-starter who is comfortable in a hybrid working role
