We are recruiting for a SEN Teacher to support in one of our partner schools for pupils aged 11-16 who suffer with Autism, MLD and other SEN.
The school supports the growth and development of pupils aged 11-16 and is responsible for devising personalised curriculums for the achievement of each child. In addition to this, the schools have a multi-professional approach to their pupils by providing speech, language and physiotherapists combined with creative approaches from musicians and sports coaches to support their young people to achieve both academically socially and morally.
Your role as a SEN Teacher would be to create lessons aimed to allow the young people to express themselves in a practical and easy way, as well as design tasks to help the young people succeed in their lives beyond the school with a key focus on independent living skills. All of this is then further supplemented with high range equipment targeted at SEN pupils including soft rooms and a swimming pool.
The school require a SEN Teacher to match their ethos and values so the ideal candidate should have:
