Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in St Albans for a Finance Analyst to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will provide financial planning, monthly reporting and other financial support services for designated Frontline Council and Support services delivered by the Council.

Main Responsibilities
Producing monthly management reports and variance analysis
Reviewing the Full Year Forecast with Budget Managers and revising as needed Supporting Service Managers and Heads of Service to provide action-oriented commentary in Chief Executive's monthly Board report
Highlighting risk of overspend and income shortfalls to avoid financial problems going undetected
Providing financial information, analysis and recommendations to areas in order to enable management to make financially sound business decisionsCandidate Criteria
AAT Qualified as a minimum
Experience at management accounting is essential with Local Authority experience preferred  
High level Excel skills including VLookup, SumIf and Pivot Tables.
