We're working with a global manufacturer that's invested heavily in its Newcastle site, a recognised Centre of Excellence producing high-quality printed materials for major consumer brands. It's a busy, fast-moving environment where engineering is genuinely valued, not just seen as a support function.

What you'll be doing

Keeping production lines running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance

Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults

Identifying and implementing process and line improvements

Supporting project work and equipment upgrades

Monitoring downtime and performance, helping drive improvements

Working closely with production and external suppliers

What we're looking for

A multi-skilled engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience

Ideally 5+ years in a manufacturing environment

Someone who takes pride in doing things properly and improving how things run

Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting

A team player who can also work independently when needed

This isn't a role where you'll just be ticking boxes or constantly chasing breakdowns. You'll be trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and play a part in improving how the site operates.
