Salary - £37,000 plus 14.5% shift allowance

Permanent, full-time 37hrs per week

The role is full-time permanent

Responsibilities of the Experimental Manufacturing Technician

  • Adhere to company beliefs, policies, high standards, and process SOPs
  • Keep team and senior management abreast of current order and workload statuses
  • Be actively involved in team meetings around production and order status reporting
  • Aid the writing of improvement plans and guidance around production settings
  • Be involved in operational engineering tasks using CNC and manually operated machines and hand tools
  • Adhere to all H&S protocols & regulations within the working environment
  • Adhere to manufacturers' manufacturing layouts, routings, and control plans to a high standard
  • Fill out and complete order reporting for each order and its status

Person Specifications for Experimental Manufacturing Technician

  • Must have a minimum of B-Tec level 3, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification that is both current and valid
  • Must be self-driven and willing to learn new skills and stretch capabilities
  • Previous experience in CAD/CAM or GibbsCAM software would be highly useful, but not essential for the start of the role
  • The ability to adapt and use a variety of manufacturing and assembly techniques is a requirement for this role
  • Ability to use a variety of measuring techniques and types of equipment is required in order to be successful in this job role
  • Must hold excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form
  • Must have at least two years of experience working within a CNC-related role
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and specs
  • The requirement to understand GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) is essential to this role
