Deputy Head Teacher - SEN Specialist School (ASC)

A well-regarded SEN specialist school in the New Forest, catering primarily to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Head Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed leader to help shape a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for neurodiverse learners with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Head Teacher to provide strategic leadership and oversee daily operations

• Lead curriculum development tailored to individual learning profiles and EHCPs

• Support staff development and performance management

• Promote a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and high expectations

• Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral care across the school

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven leadership experience within a SEN or inclusive educational setting

• Strong understanding of SEND frameworks, EHCPs, and differentiated curriculum planning

• Experience working with pupils with ASC and associated needs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Committed to improving outcomes for neurodiverse learners
