The School and Role

An average sized 'Good' primary school in Bishop Auckland are looking to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis. Working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, the desired Teaching Assistant will be supporting in Year 5. The school would like someone who has experience supporting children within Key Stage 2, especially with SEND. There would be an expectation to run interventions on Maths and English too. The role would start January 2024, or sooner, and would be needed until July 2024 at least. The school has a strong small leadership team and is located in the DL14 postcode. The school have a strong drive for character building. It can be accessed on public transport too.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
