Lead E&I Engineer (Client side) - Staff - London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing energy business during a period of continued growth in the Renewable Energy sector. This is working on a project utilizing cutting edge technology to significantly reduce global CO2 emissions.
Role & Responsibilities
* Sitting Client side responsible for overseeing the deliverables of FEED contractor.
* Reporting directly into the Engineering Manager.
* Reviewing design deliverables developed by FEED contractor are in line with agreed project specifications and making requests for changes where appropriate.
* Checking of deliverables including drawings, schedules, datasheets, specifications, (input to control philosophies and narratives if applicable).
* Must understand wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line and 3-line AC drawings, AC & DC schematics, and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations.
* Ensuring key project deliverables are met by the FEED contractor, responsible for making sure quality of Electrical and Instrumentation design is as per agreed specifications.
* Participation in design review, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops.
* Will be required to provide input into HAZOP / HAZIDs.
Key Skills & Knowledge
* Degree qualified, chartered status beneficial but not essential.
* Experience in downstream / refinery / petrochem projects in Oil & Gas industry during FEED or detailed design.
* Previous experience of working as part of a Client or PMC team essential.
* Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.
* Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
* Experience in relevant design standards and protocols.
