Electrical Engineer

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to help with the design, development, and integration of electrical and automation systems. You will be responsible for hardware selection, on-site electrical requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards. This is a hands-on, varied position with opportunities to contribute across design, development, commissioning, and continuous improvement. This role would be suited to engineers with early career experience looking to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Design electrical and automation systems, including incoming power, power distribution, HMIs, and control systems.

* Ensure compliance with safety standards and implement safety interlocks and emergency shutdown systems.

* Create and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, control logic diagrams, and operating manuals.

* Train and support operators, maintenance teams, and junior engineers.

* Identify and deliver performance improvements, cost reductions, and system enhancements.

* Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.

* Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

* Specify and support the procurement of electrical components and assemblies.

* Provide technical input for RFQ reviews and system concept definition.

* Support project managers, production teams, and commissioning engineers.

* Work in accordance with industry standards (NEC, ISO, IEC).

* Apply strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail throughout all project stages.

This role offers excellent rates of pay and includes an 8% company contribution, 34 days' holiday, including bank holidays. You will be working 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00, and Friday: 08:00 - 14:00
