Our client are a leading player in their sector & ahead of the pack in terms of innovation and engagement with tech and systems that drive business performance and lending efficiency.
The Department & Team
The Data Architect is a senior member of the IT department and will work closely with the Head of IT and CTO on critical projects that drive the growing technological landscape of the firm.
The IT team is set to grow considerably in light of the planned projects, making the appointment of a capable and forward thinking data architect absolutely critical to success.
The department works closely with senior leaders & users in operational departments, so the capacity to communicate across the business is a firm requirement for this role.
Role Overview
As Data Architect you will take full ownership of the company’s overall data architecture & infrastructure and will work strategically to manage how data is structured, integrated and governed throughout the business.
You will be responsible for defining the data architecture roadmap across platforms and systems, including Salesforce & supporting applications, Azure Cloud and a broad range of SaaS & other cloud based solutions.
You will leverage BI tools and will ensure that data is accessible, accurate, secure and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and optimise the enterprise-wide data architecture
- Define and enforce data standards, principles, and best practices
- Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, ensuring alignment
- Lead the assessment and implementation of data architecture improvements
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of business intelligence
- Ensure dashboards and reports are accurate & performant
- Define and manage data pipelines, semantic models, and data transformations
- Understand and oversee the data architecture of Salesforce
- Define strategies for Salesforce data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Implement and optimize data pipelines and orchestration tools within Azure
- Ensure cloud-based data infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient
- Define and enforce data governance frameworks
- Act as the primary liaison between data architecture and business stakeholders
- Manage relationships with external data providers and vendors
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, BI Architect, or similar
- Familiarity with MuleSoft or other ETL/integration platforms
- Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, data modelling, and performance optimisation
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data structures and integrations
- Proficiency in Azure data services
- Experience designing and implementing data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouses
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with master data management (MDM) and metadata
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay up to c£100k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, relevant to experience and qualifications. Higher offers may be considered for exceptional experience.
Salary will be complemented by access to our client’s favourable bonus structure too, which will significantly increase year on year earnings.
