Requires a caring mentor and tutor who can support with his Autism and PDA / Pathological Demand Avoidance needs

Our pupil is:
6 year old pupil who has lived in a few countries over the last few years, particularly due to COVID-19. His learning is self-led and is good at retaining information about topics that interest him. He struggles with demands and has signs that can be noticed as to when he is beginning to feel overwhelmed. Social communication is an area that he will need significant support with as he finds it hard to figure out what is happening in social environments which has led to him being bullied. He is in the process of learning life skills and will need support in this in a non-demand way.
To support his educational journey, a tutor with a deep understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance, neuro-divergence and social communication needs will be best placed to help raise our pupil to higher levels of education in a safe and comfortable way.
This role will involve working with the young person on a 1 to 1 basis, providing child-centred support focussed on engaging them and nurturing their wellbeing. It will involve travelling to the placement, supporting them, and writing a brief report to record your hours.
