Warehouse Manager Opportunity in Luton!

• Annual Salary: £40k – £48k (DOE)

We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations in our busy, growing warehouse. With over 1,500 SKUs and a 20,000 sq ft space, this role is crucial for maintaining high standards in stock control, expiry-date management, and timely outbound deliveries.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch to meet OTIF targets.
• Manage stock control processes such as cycle counts, reconciliations, and expiry-date monitoring for over 1,500 SKUs.
• Oversee container loading operations, ensuring compliance with weight management and safety standards.
• Lead a team of 6 - 12 Operatives, focusing on recruitment, training, performance management, and maintaining high morale.
• Enforce health and safety compliance, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Utilize ERP system for stock movements and reporting, maintaining high data accuracy and system discipline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and resolve operational bottlenecks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or a senior supervisory role in a FMCG, multi-SKU environment.
• Strong capabilities in stock control and expertise in container loading with a focus on compliance and safety.
• Hands-on leadership style, capable of training and coaching team members.
• Experience in improving manual and paper-based processes.
• Proficient in using ERP or similar systems for warehouse management.
• Solid understanding of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
