As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the design and delivery of structural projects across various sectors including residential, commercial, and heritage buildings. Key Responsibilities

Lead structural design projects from concept to completion

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians

Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery

Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings in accordance with British Standards and Eurocodes

*

Conduct site inspections and structural assessments

*

Contribute to the development of internal systems and quality assurance procedures

*

Support business development and contribute to proposal writing and client pitches

*

Engage in strategic planning and help shape the future direction of the business

Requirements

*

Chartered status with the IStructE or ICE

*

Minimum 5 years of post-chartership experience

*

Strong technical knowledge in structural design across multiple materials

*

Proficient in structural design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, Robot, AutoCAD/Revit)

*

Excellent communication and leadership skills

*

Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development

*

A long-term interest in progressing to a leadership/director role
