Commercial Heating Engineer

North London & South London (2 Positions Available)

We are currently recruiting for two experienced Commercial Heating Engineers - one to cover North London and one for South London.

This is a commercial heating-focused role (not primarily plumbing). You will work predominantly within office buildings and medical centres, delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services.

The Role

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

* Service and maintain commercial boilers and associated plant equipment

* Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, expansion vessels, and heating controls

* Carry out combustion analysis and safety testing

* Conduct gas tightness testing and compliance checks

* Test and treat system water (inhibitors, glycol, biocides)

* Clean strainers and inspect for sludge or corrosion

* Complete detailed service reports and compliance documentation

Reactive Maintenance

* Diagnose and repair commercial boiler and heating system fault Replace pumps, valves, PRVs, sensors, and controls

* Repair leaks and associated pipework faults

* Carry out pipe freezing to avoid full system drain-downs

* Drain, refill, repressurise, and recommission heating systems

* Perform power flushing and chemical cleaning/descaling

* Respond to emergency breakdowns and ensure systems are made safe

Experience & Qualifications

* Level 2 Plumbing qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ)

* Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial plumbing/heating

* Strong mechanical knowledge

* G3 Unvented qualification (desirable but not essential)

* Full UK driving licence
