This newly created Group Accountant role for a rapidly growing Financial Services firm paying £80,000 to £85,000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus, based the heart of the City

Role

This Group Accountant role will be working closely with the Financial Controller to put in providing support for a growing investment team. Please find a brief outline of the role below.

• Manage the month-end close consolidation process
• Prepare month-end consolidation entries.
• Prepare the Group's monthly Cashflow statement.
• Conduct analytical reviews of monthly performance, investigating and explaining variances.
• Prepare the monthly Management Information (MI) pack, including commentary to support performance analysis.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Assist in preparing and reviewing year-end and half-year financial statements and supporting notes.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Prepare documentation for Group accounting policies and monitor their application.
• Assess the impact of accounting standards changes on the Group and support implementation.
• Assist in managing the Group chart of accounts.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes in collaboration with the Finance Systems team.
• Provide technical accounting support and business partnering across the Group.

Profile

The Group Accountant for this Financial Services Firm is ideally for the below

• Audit Trained ACA (Ideally top 10 Practice)
• At least 2 years' experience in a Group reporting role
• Someone who's has Good Exposer to IFRS and UK GAAP
