WAVS Core Values

Humility like Christ. Jesus didn t worry about his status in the eyes of hi
peers. He cared more about long-term impact than immediate recognition.
Humility like Christ means knowing that we are working toward something much
greater than ourselves.

Mission is critical. The mission requires huge investments of time, energy and
resources but we believe they re worth it in the end. To help guard
investment, we are willing to make the tough decisions that keep us on mission.

Opportunity instead of charity. We believe that opportunity is exponentially
more powerful than charity. Charity meets short-term needs on an individual
basis. Opportunity has a multiplying effect that leads to long-term, large-
scale transformation.
