Job Title: Duty Social Worker – Integrated Learning DisabilitiesLocation: Hackney, LondonContract: Full-Time, 36 hours per week, 3 Months initially, potential to be extendedRate: £32 per hour (Umbrella) £28 PAYEAbout the RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Duty Social Worker to join the Integrated Learning Disabilities Team on behalf of Hackney Council. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated social worker to make a meaningful difference supporting adults with learning disabilities and their families within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing duty responsibilities, responding to new referrals, undertaking assessments, and coordinating appropriate support to promote independence, wellbeing, and safeguarding.Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming referrals and enquiries as part of the duty function within the Integrated Learning Disabilities Team
• Undertake strengths-based assessments in line with the Care Act 2014
• Develop and review person-centred care and support plans
• Work collaboratively with health professionals, carers, and partner agencies
• Undertake safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments where required
• Provide advice, guidance, and signposting to individuals, families, and professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in accordance with statutory requirements

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding, and mental capacity legislation
• Ability to manage a fast-paced duty environment and prioritise workload effectively
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
