The Supply Register is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Work Experience Coordinator to join Newcastle College. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in preparing learners for the workplace and supporting them to gain meaningful experience that enhances their future career prospects.

About the Role

As a Work Experience Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping learners aged 16 and above become work ready through tailored workshops, practical guidance, and personalised support. You will also work with employers and placement providers to secure meaningful opportunities, while visiting students on placement to ensure they are progressing, supported, and gaining valuable skills.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging workshops to prepare learners for the workplace (e.g. CV writing, interview preparation, workplace behaviours)
Support learners in developing the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to succeed in work placements and employment
Organise and coordinate work placements and opportunities with local employers and partners
Visit students on placement to monitor progress, provide support, and resolve any issues
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, employers, and external partners to promote student success
Maintain accurate records of placements, employer partnerships, and learner progress
Requirements:

Experience in coordinating work placements, careers guidance, or employer engagement
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to motivate and inspire young people to succeed in the workplace
A proactive, professional, and flexible approach
Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
Desirable:

Relevant qualification in careers guidance, employability, or a related field
Previous experience working in a further education or post-16 setting
Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices
