This position reports to the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager. The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for troubleshooting all aspects of maintenance at Premier (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic).
You are able to follow all company safety procedures, including LOTO
You have knowledge and/or previous experience working in the packaging industry or other industrial environments
You can be responsible for overseeing that all work is being done correctly and in a safe manner
Be responsible for answering all maintenance calls
Be responsible for knowing the status of all machines throughout the course of each working day
Follow up on maintenance calls/requests in an organized and timely fashion.
Setup and load mill and lathe
Operate mill and lathe to produce metal parts
Identify problem with machinery or metal parts and troubleshoot or modify accordingly
Communicate to the oncoming shift about any problems that may need continued attention
Daily/Weekly interaction with internal Premier Packaging support team and employees
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED required
Must have 5-7 years of previous mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial background, preferably in the packaging industry.
