Salary: £35500 - £36600/annum 12000 joining bonus

Position - Shift Leader - Children's Residential Home

Salary - £35,500 - £36,600 per annum for qualified candidates; this includes 7 to 9 sleep in payments of £60 per night.

Hours - 37.5 per week comprising of 24 hours shifts and double shifts; doubles are 10.30am to 10.30am the following morning. Doubles are 10.30am to 11.00pm

What would your responsibilities be

As a Shift Leader, you'll combine hands-on care with leadership responsibility, including:

Building strong, trusting relationships with young people

*

Leading shifts and ensuring the home runs smoothly

*

Supporting daily routines, education attendance, appointments and activities

*

Promoting independence, life skills and positive behaviour

*

Acting as a positive role model through everyday tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping)

*

Safeguarding decision-making and accurate recording

*

Medication administration and personal care where required

*

Liaising with social workers, families and external professionals

*

Supporting, mentoring and supervising less experienced staff

*

High-quality record keeping, reports and keyworking documentation

*

Ensuring health & safety compliance and a safe living environment

Requirements

*

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or working towards

*

Experience working with children or young people in residential care

*

Strong safeguarding knowledge and decision-making skills

*

Confident leadership and excellent organisational skills

*

Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including sleep-ins
