If you’re after a maintenance role where you can get your hands dirty, be challenged as well as supported, with opportunities to grow and progress, this job is for you.This role will suit a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a background in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment where they’ve gained mechanical knowledge & skills with bearings, shafts, belts, chains, motors, gears, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (MIG) etc.ResponsibilitiesYour role will be to focus on preventative and reactive response to Mechanical Maintenance in the factory, including:Supporting various heavy equipment and machinery across the factory, dealing with and overcoming problems in a fast paced environment.Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.Reactive maintenance, working at pace attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again.Dealing with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.Any workshop skills will come in handy, ideally welding in MIG.RequirementsCompleted a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications at Level 3 or aboveExperience with mechanical maintenance or mechanical fitting work, within an industrial and/or manufacturing environmentMachinery maintenance experienceAny experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics would be desirableAny MIG welding experience would be desirableHeavy plant/machinery experience would be great but not essentialProactive work attitude and keen to get stuck inFriendly and adaptable working attitudeIf this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Alec at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
