Senior Structural Engineer

A well-established Structural Engineering consultancy based in Takeley, Essex, delivering innovative, practical, and cost-effective structural engineering solutions across domestic and commercial sectors. The Role
We're seeking an experienced and driven Senior Structural Engineer to lead and deliver a wide range of structural projects from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in both the technical and client-facing aspects of the business, working across residential refurbishments, extensions, and new builds, as well as commercial and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of structural projects (steel, concrete, timber, and masonry)
Conduct structural assessments, surveys, and reports for domestic and commercial properties
Liaise with architects, contractors, developers, and local authorities
Supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and technical guidance
Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and codes of practice
Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software

What We're Looking For
Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng)
Chartered or working towards chartership (IStructE or ICE)
Minimum 10 years' experience in structural engineering
Strong background in both domestic and commercial projects
Proficient in design software such as Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD, and Revit
Excellent communication and client liaison skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
Full UK driving licence
