Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated specialist school in Hove, East Sussex. The role offers a chance to make a real impact, whether you're coming from an education setting or have experience in care or support roles.

The Role:
You'll assist students with complex learning needs, providing both academic and emotional support. Some pupils may require personal care or help managing behaviours, and you'll play a key role in helping them access the curriculum and build confidence.

If you've worked as a:

Support Worker

Youth Mentor

Care Assistant

Residential Support Staff

Or similar care-based role

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support in small groups or 1:1 settings

Help implement education plans and promote positive behaviour

Support students with communication, movement, and daily routines

Build trusted relationships with staff and pupils

Deliver inclusive, student-focused support

Requirements:

Some experience supporting individuals with additional needs

Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach

Ability to follow school policies and respond to student needs

Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply)

A current and detailed CV
