This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves literature and language, and who’s committed to helping students aged 11-16 develop their skills, confidence, and curiosity.

• Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons at KS3 and KS4 that bring the English curriculum to life
• Creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported, valued, and challenged
• Monitoring progress and giving meaningful feedback to help students grow
• Working with your department to develop resources and share ideas
• Supporting students of all abilities, helping them to reach their full potential
• Getting involved in school life, from parents’ evenings to CPD and whole-school events

• A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in English or a related subject
• Someone with strong curriculum knowledge, solid classroom management, and a love of their subject
• A reflective practitioner who’s always looking to develop and improve
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Most importantly, someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people
