Company Overview

Peak Support is a customer service and business process outsourcing company based in Cambridge, MA. An individual in this role will be working from home, for one of our clients: a growing B2B e-commerce company located in Los Angeles, CA.

Position Summary

This position is a remote phone-based outbound sales role. This position is responsible for calling small businesses, explaining the benefits of switching their website hosting over to something much better suited for their type of business, and scheduling software demo appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Calling on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information and quoting appropriate customer prices, with the goal of making 70-100 calls per day
  • Scheduling software demos, with a goal of scheduling 2-3 software demos per day
  • Maintaining communications with internal personnel to ensure efforts are in line with objectives
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant professional experience preferred
  • Experience in phone sales is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new and innovative web technologies
  • Willingness to assist and teach others on the team
  • Establish and maintain positive, cooperative, working relationships
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals

Technical Requirements

An ideal candidate is preferred to have the following in their home or work location:

  • Computer Processor: i5 4th Generation, AMD A8 5000 series or higher
  • Computer Ram: 8GB or higher
  • Minimum 10 MB per second Internet connection
  • Noise-cancelling headset
  • Limited background noise: individuals you call should not be able to hear barking dogs or other noises in the background
