You will be given the opportunity to build your own team in the Chester office whilst receiving support from the Technical Director who is currently leading their other Cheshire office.

You will be responsible for growing the offices project portfolio and you may do this how you see fit. Currently the consultancy works mainly within the private sector but has got clients across the private land use sector, from residential housing to leisure facilities. Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Local Plans and Traffic Management Plans are at the core of this consultancies work load so experience throughout your career is extremely important when applying for this role.

You will be given full support to successfully building your own team and you'll work closely with the planning team in the Chester office to identify new transport planning work for you and your team so you can hit the ground running. What is really important though is that you feel you could quite quickly begin to at least support yourself with your own workload so you can quickly bring in the first member of your team to support you whilst you expand the portfolio of projects.

Key role responsibilities:

Management and development of a new Transportation team.
Design project management, coordination with other disciplines/offices, client and Local Authority liaison, fee proposals and invoicing.

Business development and networking. Maintaining and growing existing client relationships, developing new opportunities and diversifying the range of commissions.
Cultivate and uphold elevated technical benchmarks, both on an individual level and within the T&T Department, by embracing industry "best practices" and embracing emerging technical advancements.
Implement high-quality and profitable design standards and solutions for clients
Research, development and implementation of technological innovations to aid continual growth and diversity.
The mentoring and supervision of Transport planning apprentices, technicians, and engineers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to present information in detail to Directors, senior management team, staff and clients.
