SEN Teacher - September Start | Ealing

The Role:As an SEN Teacher in this specialist setting, you will deliver engaging, tailored lessons designed to meet the individual needs of learners working below age-related expectations. You will lead a class supported by skilled teaching assistants and collaborate closely with therapists and the wider SEN team.
This role requires creativity, patience, and a strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches for pupils with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised, sensory-rich lessons tailored to pupils' needs
- Develop IEPs and contribute to EHCPs
- Assess and monitor pupil progress using appropriate assessment tools
- Support communication development using strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC where appropriate
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working in a specialist or SEN setting
- Understanding of complex learning needs and differentiated teaching strategies
- Knowledge of communication approaches such as Makaton, PECS, or visual communication systems
