Project Manager / Site Manager - Roofing Package (Freelance)
Location: Bridgend
Start Date: Immediate / Short Notice
Duration: 6 Months (Further Work Available)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager or Site Manager to oversee a roofing package on a project based in Bridgend. This is a freelance opportunity with an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for ongoing work upon successful completion.

The Role:
You will be responsible for managing the roofing works on site, ensuring the package is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. This role will suit someone who is hands-on, organised, and confident managing subcontractors and site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day site operations relating to the roofing package

* Manage and coordinate roofing subcontractors to ensure programme targets are met

* Monitor progress against programme and report updates to senior management

* Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures

* Conduct site inspections and maintain high quality standards throughout

* Identify and resolve any issues or delays efficiently

* Maintain clear communication with the wider site team and project stakeholders

* Ensure all site documentation and reporting is kept up to date

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager within construction

* Strong background in roofing packages (essential)

* Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme delivery

* Good understanding of health & safety and site compliance

* Relevant certifications such as SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS

* Strong communication and organisational skills
