I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Operative to join their Technical Services Team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards across the development, ensuring all communal areas remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete monthly water and electric meter readings for landlord supplies, recording and submitting results to the Senior Property Manager.

• Conduct monthly (or as required) testing of fire defence systems and communal lighting.

• Replace lighting in communal areas, including car parks.

• Carry out project work as agreed with your line manager.

• Undertake cyclical building redecorations and general maintenance duties.

• Maintain excellent health and safety practices at all times.

• Support the wider team by performing additional tasks required for the smooth running of the development.

About YouEssential skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a multi-trade operative role or working as a caretaker/handyman.

• Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

• Competent dry wall repair and decorating skills.

• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage time well.

• Physically capable of performing manual and demanding tasks.
