Glendale is a market leader in grounds maintenance with an impressive portfolio of airports under management and now seeks an experienced manager to oversee our flagship contract at London Heathrow.

The Opportunity
This is an outstanding career opportunity to assist in the deliver a strategically important contract offering the full range of services at Heathrow. Primarily focusing on landside maintenance, with occasional airside responsibilities in the role you will be required to assist the contract manager in the management of grounds maintenance and associated services including riparian management, significant conservation maintenance, and landscape improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of supervising grounds maintenance and project teams and be able to drive productivity while ensuring the workforce provides a quality service. Candidates should have a strategic outlook to enable continuous improvement and assist in identifying efficiencies along the way.

This is a hands-on role involving monitoring the progress of teams on-site and taking quick and effective action to maintain both high productivity and client satisfaction.

The Person

Candidates should be well-organised, and have skills and experience in people and contract management, with a passion for horticulture, conservation & the natural environment. Above all, they need to be flexible and possess excellent leadership ability, enthusiasm, people management, and communication skills. A horticultural qualification and a good understanding of IT and previous experience in working in a regulated sector involving numerous stakeholders would be preferred.

You should have a strategic outlook to meet short, medium, and long-term objectives and champion continuous improvement.
