The Company

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a leading organisation within the plant hire sector, known for its strong presence across the UK, modern fleet, and commitment to supporting its engineers.

Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Mobile Plant Fitter to cover the Newcastle area.

The Role

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of plant hire equipment across customer sites.

Key responsibilities include:

Service, maintenance, and repair of plant hire equipment
Attending breakdowns and diagnosing faults efficiently
Working on equipment such as excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, tower lights, and trailers
Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Completing all job reports accurately
Providing a high level of customer service on-site

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working on plant hire or construction equipment
Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills (basic electrics beneficial)
Experience working on excavators, dumpers, rollers, or telehandlers
Full UK driving licence
A reliable, self-motivated, and professional approach

The Package

£34,000 - £38,000 basic salary
Company van
Overtime available (OTE £45k - £55k)
