Field Service Engineer | Field-based (Sheffield area, with wider travel as required) | £30,000 - £34,000

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to represent a leading precision engineering company at customer premises, supporting the Field Service Team. Managed from the Andover Service Centre, this role is primarily field-based, focusing on customers in and around Sheffield. Travel to other regions and occasional overnight stays may be required.

This is an exciting opportunity to work independently while delivering high-quality technical support for precision measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

You will visit customer sites to:

+Install precision measuring equipment

+Carry out servicing and calibration work

+Perform troubleshooting, fault-finding, diagnosis, and rectification of equipment issues

+Maintain accurate service documentation and reports

Essential Requirements

+Minimum HNC/BTEC qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience

+Strong communication and organisational skills

+High level of accuracy and attention to detail

+Good IT skills

+Full, valid UK driving licence
