Job Title: Plumber - HMP (Prison Estate)

Location: HMP Springhill (HP18 0TL)
Salary: £225 a day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time / Contract

About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and reliable Plumber to join our team working within the prison estate. The role involves carrying out plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair works to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently across the facility.

This is a stable role with consistent hours, supporting the maintenance and operation of essential infrastructure within a secure public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair works

* Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing systems

* Maintenance of pipework, fixtures, and fittings

* Respond to reactive maintenance issues

* Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard

* Follow all site security procedures and regulations

* Complete job documentation and maintenance reports

Requirements

* NVQ qualification in Plumbing (essential)

* Previous experience in plumbing maintenance and installation

* Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good communication skills

* Ability to pass enhanced security clearance for prison work

* Full UK driving licence preferred
