Permanent, Accounts Assistant, Outskirts of Birmingham, £28,000-£30,000On-site role - Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Fridays 7am-12pmGreenwell Gleeson are working with a business on the outskirts of Birmingham to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.The business are seeking an experienced, detail-orientated and organised Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and maintain financial records. The role is crucial in supporting the overall financial health of the organisation and requires a strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Reporting into the Finance Director, duties will include:All aspects of purchase ledger processing.Entering invoices, credit card statements and supplier payments.Providing information for use in the preparation of cashflow forecasts.Have overall responsibility for the creditors ledger and ensure that transactions are kept up to date at all time whilst maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.Supplier statement reconciliations and resolution of any discrepancies.Conduct a periodic review of outstanding purchase orders to ensure all invoicing is up to date.Assist in preparation of VAT Returns.Assisting with Annual Stock Takes.Assist external accountants at year end for external audit and tax calculationsWorking with others in the accounts team and wider organisation for assistance in completing duties.Required:Previous purchase ledger and administration experience is essential.Solid basic accounting knowledge.Competent in using Excel for document management and communication - pivot tables & v lookups advantageousGreenwell Gleeson Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
