Commercial Claims Handler - Brokerage

Location: Twickenham / Hybrid 3 days Office BasedSalary: to £40,000 + Benefits

Due to growth this broekrage are on the lookout for a Commercial Claims Handler with a sharp commercial mindset and a strong client focus. This is not just about processing claims - it’s about building trust, delivering value, and playing a key role in client retention and growth.

The Role:

You’ll handle a range of commercial claims (property, liability, business interruption, marine, cyber and more) while actively supporting client relationships and identifying opportunities to enhance service and cover. You’ll be a vital link between the claims registered and insurance broking servicing teams - delivering fast, fair outcomes while helping to strengthen client loyalty.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience handling commercial insurance claims - insurer, broker, loss adjusting, inhouse claims teams
  • A strong commercial focus and ability to contribute to client satisfaction and growth.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Organised, analytical, and confident using claims systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Insurance qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII) or working towards them are a plus.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage your own portfolio of commercial claims with a proactive, client-first approach.
  • Communicate confidently with brokers, clients, and third parties to resolve claims quickly and fairly.
  • Interpret policies to determine cover, negotiate settlements, and spot cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
  • Support account handlers and executives in demonstrating claims performance and value to clients.
  • Help flag potential issues or trends that could lead to additional client needs or product offerings.
  • Ensure a smooth, professional claims journey that reinforces client retention.
